Escambia GOP wants Smith’s head

Escambia County Republican Party sent a request to its volunteers to attend last Tuesday’s school board meeting to speak out against “liberal” School Superintendent Tim Smith, in hopes of getting a referendum passed to return the district to an elected superintendent.

Party secretary Pueschel Schneier wrote in the email to area GOP volunteers:

THE SCHOOL BOARD OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA has appointed a liberal superintendent who has tried to introduce CRT, a mask mandate, and now has sent out a disturbing social test which sexualizes female students. In 2018, Escambia County voted to go from an elected to appointed superintendent. Many are experiencing voter’s remorse and are calling for a referendum to put it back on the ballot.

Meeting:
Tuesday Sept 20th 5:30pm
J.E. HALL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES CENTER
30 EAST TEXAR DRIVE
ROOM 160
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA

Escambia County voters approved the referendum that made the school superintendent a position appointed by the school board in 2018 by 910 votes, 62,418-61,508.
