Families Count to implement VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program

December 13, 2011–Pensacola, Fla.–On Monday, November 7th, Families Count began serving Veteran Families through the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families initiative. This program aims to improve housing stability; to prevent at risk Veteran families from becoming homeless and provide supportive services to very low-income Veterans and their families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing. Through community outreach and intensive case management Families Count will educate and assist participants to obtain military and civilian benefits such as: Housing Counseling, Health Care Services, Daily Living Services, Transportation Services, Personal Financial Planning Services, and Child Care services to name a few.
