Fans pick logo for Bubba Watson’s candy store

After a three-week voting period, the logo for Bubba’s Sweet Spot has been picked by the Pensacola community. The community was able to cast votes at The Bodacious Family of Shops and online at bodaciousolive.com. Over 2,000 votes were received.

With some tweaks suggested by the Pensacola community, choice ‘D’ won by a landslide. In the final version, an ice cream cone replaced a golf tee to give more of a candy store and ice cream parlor feel. The pink driver that Bubba Watson is known for was also added under the name of the store.

“I appreciate the community taking the time to vote on the logo,” said Bubba Watson. “Our team is working hard and the store is really coming together. I can’t wait for everyone to join us when we open in July.”

Bubba’s Sweet Spot will be a unique candy store and ice cream parlor in downtown Pensacola. It will feature gravity drops of M&M’s and Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Hand-dipped items, such as chocolate covered strawberries, will be made daily. Even more surprises will be found at this extraordinary store.

The four logos, designed by Brandiose, featured owner Bubba Watson surrounded by the name of the store with different variations of sweets. Each version highlighted the pink color associated with Watson, who uses a pink driver when competing on the PGA Tour.

Born in Pensacola and raised in nearby Bagdad, Watson is committed to the to the growth of the Pensacola area. Along with Quint and Rishy Studer, he is co-owner of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos baseball team, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
