Fashioned for More

NISSI, The Network for Immediate Services for Survivors International, is an anti-trafficking organization assisting victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation by providing short-term, immediate-care and advocacy. They are raising awareness and rallying the community around a runway awareness fundraiser like no other – Fashioned for More. Human trafficking is the largest human rights violation of our time and profits over $150 billion a year. The NISSI Project is a global, anti-trafficking non-profit combating this criminal industry with their home base located right here in Pensacola, FL.

“Through our work and research, we have seen many survivors fall through the cracks of our broken systems or return to “the life” solely because sustainable resources did not exist at first response. We are strategically working with law enforcement and healthcare providers to form multi-disciplinary response plans, teams, and immediate care facilities that will aid first responders with resources that accommodate survivors in the moment of opportunity (identification or rescue). Currently it is estimated that less than 1% of the 40 million victims around the world receive restoration from the life of human trafficking. Our goal is to flip that statistic and make it where every survivor has an avenue out of “the life.”

This event would not be possible without community sponsors and support. We are so thankful to be partnering with Tribal Edge to make this event possible. Tribal Edge has a game-changing approach to risk management and employee benefits that delivers customized solutions with a positive bottom-line impact and serves as the members’ guide through the healthcare system.

“Tribal Edge is proud to support the Nissi Project in its honorable mission to end human trafficking. Indian Country, like many communities throughout the USA, has been adversely affected by trafficking and more programs around awareness and prevention are needed on reservations and tribal casinos. As a Legacy Sponsor for this event, we hope to help shed light on these victims who have remained invisible for too long.” – Tribal Edge, Broker Administrator, Ted McKenzie, Jr

Fashioned for More raises awareness for the specific needs of survivors and all proceeds will go directly to the operations of NISSI’S first short-term, immediate-care facility right here in Northwest Florida.
