The FavorHouse of Northwest Florida Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracie Hodson as the organization’s new Executive Director. FavorHouse provides comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault including a 24/7 Crisis Hotline, Emergency Shelter, Outreach Counseling, and Legal Assistance for Injunctions for Protection.
In her role as Executive Director, Tracie will manage all day-to-day operations for Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties’ only certified domestic violence center. She will also lead the organization’s fundraising, marketing, and community engagement initiatives.
Tracie joins FavorHouse with over 22 years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising. She has a rich history of serving children, families, and survivors of intimate partner abuse including 10 years as the Executive Director for a domestic violence service provider in northern Indiana. Her financial acumen includes leading successful fundraising efforts as well as executing and managing Federal, State and local grant processes.
“We are thrilled to have selected Tracie and are excited by the opportunity to benefit from her experience and leadership,” said Steven Griffin, Board President of FavorHouse. “Not only does she bring the know-how to get things done as a non-profit executive, she is also passionately committed to FavorHouse’s mission to serve individuals and families impacted by interpersonal abuse and violence.”
“I am both humbled and excited for the opportunity to serve as FavorHouse’s Executive Director,” said Tracie Hodson. “Being a voice for those who have lost their voice due to abuse is a calling! I look forward to working with the Board, Staff and Community Stakeholders to build upon FavorHouse’s foundation of excellence as we strengthen and grow the organization for the benefit of the people we serve and the community as a whole. Intimate partner violence can happen to anyone. We want to make sure they know FavorHouse stands ready to support survivors in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.”
Tracie joined FavorHouse in her new role at the beginning of June. She succeeds Acting Director Marsha Travis, who assumed the role in July 2021 after the passing of long-time Executive Director Sue Hand. Marsha will continue with the organization in her previous role as Program Director.
