I made a few calls to Tallahassee. Apparently the city has approached Florida Department of Transportation for help with the $3.5 million needed for the apron and taxiway for the VT-MAE hangar. My sources say FDOT will provide the money, but they aren’t sure what will the match required from the city or if some other project is being cut or delayed to provide the money.
We will know more once the city releases its plan.
