Pensacola’s Oldest Running Event Returns in March
Pensacola, FL – (February 28, 2023) – One of Pensacola’s oldest running events, the Bayou Hills Run presented by Pensacola Sports, takes place Saturday, March 18 at 7 a.m. from Pensacola’s Bayview Park. Registration for the race is now open.
The Bayou Hills Run is the official City of Pensacola 5K and 10K Championship races. The overall male and female winners for each age division will be recognized at a Pensacola City Council meeting following the race.
“We always look forward to the community enthusiasm and support we see for this signature Pensacola race. Each year, it just gets bigger and better,” said Pensacola Sports president and CEO Ray Palmer.
Both the 5K and 10K course takes runners through the scenic East Hill neighborhood, along Bayou Texar, and among towering oaks and challenging hills.
A post-race party with food, drinks and music will take place at Bayview Park, a perfect setting along Bayou Texar that includes playgrounds and pavilions for the kids and families.
Registration fees are $45 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Run. Prices increase after March 15. All proceeds from the race benefit Creative Learning Academy and Pensacola Sports.
