Escambia County has released the final list of nominees for the environmental representative on the RESTORE Act advisory committee. A finalized list of organizations which qualified to participate in the selection process has also been released.
Newly qualified organizations are the Pensacola Archeological Society, U.S. Green Building Council, Emerald Coastkeepers, Gulf Coast Energy Network, Surfrider Foundation and CATE.
The new nominees are John LeRoy, nominated by the archeological society, and self-nominated Bill Young. Emerald Coastkeeper-nominee Donnie McMahon is also back on the county’s list;earlier this afternoon McMahon was listed as withdrawn.
A complete list of nominees, participating organizations and bios of nominees is available at the Escambia County website. A RESTORE environmental representative will be selected during a public meeting Jan. 22.
