Sun-Sentinel reports: Executives from gambling companies are prepping for Wednesday’s workshop on the destination resort bill filed by Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, and Rep. Erik Fresen, R-Miami. Andy Abboud, vice president of government relations for Las Vegas Sands, spent Monday huddled with the company’s Florida lobbying team and its newly hired PR team Hill and Knowlton.
The workshop will be the first major examination by lawmakers of the destination bill, which is likely to be one of the biggest and most divisive issue of the upcoming legislative session.
