Florida Chamber endorses Broxson, White, Williamson in legislative races

Continuing on its efforts to elect pro-jobs, pro-business candidates, the Florida Chamber of Commerce today announced an additional 34 candidate endorsements in competitive races for the Florida Legislature. Today’s latest round of endorsements is part of a larger Florida Chamber effort to help elect candidates that support private-sector job creation and economic growth.

“Now more than ever, we are reminded that Florida is in a position to lead if we are brave enough to choose those who will put Florida’s long-term needs first,” said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of Political Operations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “We believe each Florida Chamber endorsed candidate will use their unique perspective to help grow jobs and economic opportunity for Floridians, and continue to make Florida the best place to visit, live, work and play.”

Candidates endorsed today for the Florida Senate include:

Senate District 01 Representative Doug Broxson (R)
Senate District 08 Representative Keith Perry (R)
Senate District 13 Dean Asher (R)
Senate District 15 Bob Healy, Jr. (D)
Senate District 18 Representative Dana Young (R)
Senate District 29 Representative Kevin Rader (D)

“Rep. Doug Broxson has continually placed Florida’s families and small businesses first,” said MARIAN JOHNSON, Senior Vice President of Political Operations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “As an ‘A’ grade legislator on the Florida Chamber’s Legislative Report Card, we know he will bring the same dedication to the Florida Senate that he has lead with in the House. The Florida Chamber is proud to endorse Representative Broxson for the Florida Senate.”

Rep. Broxson was endorsed for his strong pro-jobs, pro-business commitment to helping create jobs and moving Florida in the right direction, and based on grades received on the Florida Chamber’s Legislative Report Card.

Candidates endorsed today for the Florida House include:

House District 002 Frank White (R)

“Frank White is an advocate for free enterprise and we look forward to the opportunity to work closely with him to secure our state’s future,” said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of Political Operations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “The Florida Chamber is proud to today endorse Frank White for the Florida House.”

House District 003 Jayer Williamson (R)

We look forward to the opportunity to work with him to create more jobs in our state and move our state forward,” said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of Political Operations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “The Florida Chamber is proud to endorse Jayer Williamson for the Florida House.”

The Florida Chamber believes that to secure Florida’s future, Florida must elect candidates that put the long-term needs of our state ahead of short-term interests. As pro-jobs, pro-business candidates, the Florida Chamber believes White and Williamson will put Florida families and job creators in the driver’s seat by supporting private-sector job creation and economic growth.
