FLORIDA DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE SUPPORT OF KAMALA HARRIS FOR PRESIDENT
Tallahassee, FL — Today, over 200 leaders of the Florida Democratic Party announced their support of Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
Following yesterday’s announcement that President Biden would not be seeking reelection, Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried, Florida House Democratic Leader Fentrice Driskell, Florida Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book, and 236 of Florida’s Democratic National Convention Delegates — including all of Florida’s elected congressional Democrats and Democratic National Committee members — are backing Vice President Harris’s bid to replace President Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.
“Florida Democrats are fired up and ready to elect Kamala Harris this November,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “As Vice President, she’s been on the frontlines of the fight for the soul of our nation, and I know that she’s ready to continue the work she started with President Biden four years ago. I’m proud to give her my full endorsement for President of the United States, and look forward to electing her this November.”
“I’m extremely proud to enthusiastically put my support behind Vice President Kamala Harris — easily the most accomplished and qualified candidate in either party,” said Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. “Vice President Harris governed with the most experienced president in American history, and co-authored one of the most prolific lists of historic legislation that America has ever seen. Most importantly, Vice President Harris is the best positioned candidate to beat Donald Trump.
