Florida Public Archaeology Network Goes Mobile

FPAN announced today the release of two new iPhone apps that bring archaeology literally to your fingertips.

The two apps – FPAN Mobile and Destination: Civil War have unique features allowing users to explore the rich archaeological heritage and resources across the state.

FPAN Mobile helps users know what kind of archaeology events are taking place in their area and provides them with a way of getting to contact FPAN representatives throughout the state. Users can add events to their calendar.

The Destination: Civil War app allows users to explore the story of the Civil Way by way of heritage sites in Florida. An interactive map acts as a guide to public places that users may visit digitally or in person. They can also quickly access visitor’s information, site histories and great photographs.

Both apps are available for free from the App Store.
