On Thursdays, I write a column for the website Florida Voices, which is picked up the Tampa Tribune for its community papers and other papers across the state.
This week about Escambia County native Stephanie George, who is serving a mandatory life sentence without parole, because her ex-boyfriend kept drugs and cash in her attic. She has been in federal prison since 1997. The ex-boyfriend has already been freed from prison. The other four co-defendants got shorter sentences than George.
