Foo Foo announces $500K grant

Today, the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival officially announced its plans for its tenth anniversary event, taking place November 2-13, 2023. At this morning’s kickoff presentation, the Foo Foo Festival committee shared this year’s grant application process and funding structure that will be implemented for this year’s event. In 2022, the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival saw record-setting attendance and numerous milestone events, including the 50th Anniversary of the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, the 40th Anniversary of the Pensacola Opera and the 10th Anniversary of the Stamped LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, funding the highest number of grant recipients to-date with $400,000 in awarded funds.

In 2023, the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival will once again fund top scoring grant applicants, with the number of grants to be awarded contingent upon the number of submissions. In celebration of the tenth anniversary, the Foo Foo Festival will provide up to $500,000 in grant funding – its highest grant funding allotment to-date – and grant applicants can apply for up to $100,000 in grant funding per event. All organizations, businesses and community partners are also encouraged to submit their various events (occurring Nov. 2-13, 2023) for consideration to become a “Friend of Foo,” receiving visibility as part of the regional marketing campaign and throughout the 12-day event. Organizations interested in applying for a Foo Foo Fest grant must submit a letter of intent by Friday, March 10, 2023. To apply for this year’s Foo Foo Festival, visit ACEPensacola.org.
