Food World/Bruno could lay off 302

Bruno’s Supermarkets LLC has posted WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notices with Florida’s Agency for Workforce Innovation that it may lay 302 employees at its Food World and Bruno stores in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties (WARN notice). The effective per the notice is May 17.

The Daily News reports that Bruno’s issued a statement Tuesday afternoon through a public relations firm in New York that layoffs are not imminent.
