Ford and Broxson sign on to co-sponsor Cayee Anthony bill

Press Release: State Representative Clay Ford (District 3) along with Representative Doug Broxson (District 1), will co-sponsor a bill—referred to as ““Caylee’s Law”— to be proposed by Representative Bill Hagar.

This legislation will make it a felony to neglect to report the death or abduction of a child within a short time of the event. Representative Ford, who has over 22 years of experience in child abuse cases, said that “Loss of precious time immediately after the disappearance of a child, seriously and negatively impacts the ability of law enforcement to help that child and it is critical that we give them the tools to help our children”.

“It is a shame that we have to pass laws to encourage basic parental care,” Broxson explains, “The House of Representatives and I hold a firm commitment to continually advancing public safety and protecting our most vulnerable citizens from harm”

Note: Surely the bill will make it illegal to chloroform a child.
