Press Release: This afternoon Florida House Speaker Dean Cannon announced the chairmanships for the Subcommittees for the 2011 Legislative Session. State Representative Clay Ford, District 3 (Gulf Breeze) has been appointed to Chair the Energy & Utilities Subcommittee.
Representative Ford has served as the Vice-Chair for the past two sessions and has served as the Speaker’s designee to the Southern States Energy Board. “It is my privilege to serve as chair of the subcommittee,†said Rep. Ford. “Energy policy is an important issue that we face, trying to balance investment in new technologies with current practices and cost to consumers.â€
Representative Ford was also named as the Vice-Chair of the Civil Justice Subcommittee.
