We pride ourselves on offering our online and print reporting for free. Since we published our first issue on July 1, 1999, we have strived to give you the best local investigative, news and arts & entertainment reporting possible. I launched this blog in 2005 to augment our reporting with daily coverage of issues without a paywall.
- Over the past 26 years, we have fearlessly challenged the powerful, pushed against the status quo, and become known for our stands on issues such as Gov. DeSantis’ hostile takeover of the University of West Florida, County jail deaths, the BP Oil Spill, and the Community Maritime Park. Our news coverage isn’t dictated by advertisers, nor do we censor our reporting to placate them.
Thanks to those who believe in an independent local press, our journalism serves the governed, not the governors.
How to Help
You can help protect the free press in two ways:
- Business owners can advertise online on this website and in our newspaper. According to the PNJ’s latest circulation report, Inweekly is the #1 local newspaper in print in Pensacola…by a lot. Our newspapers are delivered to over 300 businesses in our area weekly.
- If you’re reading this post, you already know how popular our website is – its traffic has more than doubled this past year.
- Here is our rate card. Email me to find out more – rick@inweekly.net.
