Yesterday hotelier Julian MacQueen sent the following letter to Jim Hizer, CEO of the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. In his cover email to Hizer, he says that a group of hotel owners have arranged to form an Escambia Chapter of FRLA and the organizational meeting was Monday.
“Attendance was excellent and 50 hoteliers( including Highpointe Hotels and Marilyn Hess) across Escambia representing over 90 percent of all the hotels unanimously agreed to this course of action outlined in the attached letter,” wrote MacQueen, who owns the Hilton, Holiday Inn and Hampton on Pensacola Beach.
The letter was presented to the TDC and endorsed by them on Tuesday and will be presented to the BCC Committee of the Whole today.
