From the City of Pensacola: How to apply for disaster assistance

Residents who were affected by last week’s storms and flooding who have not yet applied for available assistance should do so immediately. There are three ways to apply for assistance:

• Online. Simply visit www.disasterassistance.gov.

• By Phone. Call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362).

• In Person. As part of Project Outreach, field teams will be set up throughout the community from 7am-7pm tomorrow to assist affected residents in applying for assistance. There will be two locations within the City limits: Roger Scott Tennis Center (2130 Summit Boulevard) and Legion Field (1301 West Gregory Street).

Applicants will need to provide the following information:
• Social security number

• Address of damaged home or apartment

• Description of the damage

• Information about insurance coverage

• Current telephone number

• An address where they can receive mail

• Bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit of funds

Affected businesses can also apply for assistance via the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program at http://www.floridadisasterloan.org/ and/or the U.S. Small Business Disaster Loans program at http://www.sba.gov/disaster.
