Residents who were affected by last weekâs storms and flooding who have not yet applied for available assistance should do so immediately. There are three ways to apply for assistance:
⢠Online. Simply visit www.disasterassistance.gov.
⢠By Phone. Call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362).
⢠In Person. As part of Project Outreach, field teams will be set up throughout the community from 7am-7pm tomorrow to assist affected residents in applying for assistance. There will be two locations within the City limits: Roger Scott Tennis Center (2130 Summit Boulevard) and Legion Field (1301 West Gregory Street).
Applicants will need to provide the following information:
⢠Social security number
⢠Address of damaged home or apartment
⢠Description of the damage
⢠Information about insurance coverage
⢠Current telephone number
⢠An address where they can receive mail
⢠Bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit of funds
Affected businesses can also apply for assistance via the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program at http://www.floridadisasterloan.org/ and/or the U.S. Small Business Disaster Loans program at http://www.sba.gov/disaster.
