Front Porch grants for Longhollow

There were two other grants that benefited the Longhollow Neighborhood Association:

A Planning Grant for $8800 that built a neighborhood park and a Keep Florida Beautiful grant that built butterfly gardens ā€“ one of which is in the Longhollow Neighborhood.

See grant spreadsheets: More grants.

Again nothing appears wrong with this, but the PNJ story should have given a fuller picture of the Front Porch program.

Is it the intention of the statewide program for local board members to get grants that directly benefit their own neighborhoods? Understand Iā€™m not sure it is a conflict ā€“ county commissioners and city councilmen have paved roads that benefit their neighborhoods for years.
