The Florida Retirement System is one of the top five state pension systems in the nation, according to Robert Dezube of the Milliman consulting firm which issued a preliminary report on the system on Wednesday. Although the state’s investments took a hit in 2009 stock market crash, they have recovered over the past two years. Today, the FRS unfunded liability is only 13 percent. Read more.
