The News Service of Florida reports that local State Representatives Clay Ingram and Doug Broxson raked in the cash in February. Rep. Doug Broxson, R-Midway, raised $60,950 for his campaign account during the month, bringing the overall total to $109,000 as he seeks re-election in House District 3 in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties. To the west in Escambia County’s District 1, Rep. Clay Ingram, R-Pensacola, collected $37,300 during February, giving him an overall total of $107,250.
Both held fundraisers at The Fish House in February.

PUTNAM TOPS $100K IN FEBRUARY
Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam collected $101,371 for his campaign account in February, bringing the overall total to nearly $1.4 million, according to newly filed finance reports. Among the contributors who gave the maximum of $3,000 during the month were the insurer Geico and Jacksonville cigar-maker Swisher International, Inc. While raising a total of $1,386,533 through February, Putnam had spent only $162,137. The Republican incumbent also has received in-kind support, such as staffing, from the Republican Party of Florida. February totals for Democratic candidate Thad Hamilton had not been posted on the state Division of Elections website as of Monday morning, but Hamilton had raised a total of $10,477 through January. Monday is the deadline for candidates and political committees to file their February reports.
ALTMAN ADDS $25K TO CAMPAIGN KITTY
Still running unopposed, Sen. Thad Altman, R-Viera, collected $25,375 for his campaign account during February, giving him an overall total of $170,545, according to newly filed reports on the state Division of Elections website. Altman is seeking another term in Senate District 16, which includes parts of Brevard and Indian River counties. Candidates and political committees face a Monday deadline for filing February reports. Among the other early-filing Senate candidates was Sen. David Simmons, an Altamonte Springs Republican, who raised $22,759 in February and reported an overall total of $190,343. Also, Sen. Dorothy Hukill, R-Port Orange, raised $21,350 in February, bringing her overall total to $323,795. Like Altman, Simmons and Hukill remain unopposed in the November elections.
EISNAUGLE DOMINATES HD 44 CASH CHASE
With a special primary election Tuesday, former Rep. Eric Eisnaugle, R-Windermere, has continued his fund-raising dominance in House District 44, according to newly filed reports. Eisnaugle reported raising $74,165 for his campaign account between Feb. 8 and March 6, bringing his overall total to $320,070. He had spent a total of $216,394 as of March. 6. Eisnaugle’s Republican opponent in Tuesday’s primary, Vicky Bell, did not report raising any money during the latest period and had a total of $1,800. Meanwhile, Democrat Shaun Raja raised $8,255 between Feb. 8 and March 6, bringing his overall total to $11,487, according to the state Division of Elections website. The candidates are seeking to replace former Rep. Steve Precourt, a Republican who resigned from the Orange County seat earlier this year. Eisnaugle and Bell will compete in the GOP primary Tuesday, with the winner facing Raja in the general election April 8.
