Gallery Night on Friday, Jan. 27

The first Gallery Night of 2012 kicks off Friday, January 27th from 5pm to midnight in the heart of beautiful Historic Downtown Pensacola. Immensely popular amongst locals and tourists alike, the Downtown Improvement Board (DIB) and the City of Pensacola are excited for the start of the new Gallery Night season.

“We were thrilled with the positive impact on local businesses and residents in Downtown and the continued success of Gallery Night. Downtown Pensacola has a lot of vibrant places and things for people to do as well as a safe, friendly event for the public” said Hilary Gilles, manager of Gallery Night at the DIB.

Downtown Pensacola provides a picturesque backdrop for attendees of all ages to enjoy the spectacular artwork, entertainment, architecture, and cuisine that Gallery Night has to offer. For those looking for more to explore, the DIB suggests attendees take a stroll through Historic Downtown while listening to lively music and visit local retailers, many of whom stay open throughout the evening and offer light refreshments.

North Palafox Street between Wright and Gregory Streets, Palafox Place from Garden to Zarragossa Streets as well as Government Street between Palafox and Tarragona will be closed to vehicular traffic during the hours of Gallery Night to ensure the safety of attendees. Gallery Night street closure is sponsored by Stella Artois and Purus Vodka.
