According to an Inweekly/Political Matrix poll of 452 likely democrat voters in State House District 1, Vikki Garrett holds her strong lead with 24.8% of the vote while challenger Franscine Cecilia Mathis has just 15.9%. In this race, numbers for the undecideds and as well as those who do not know either candidate still are dominant with 6% being undecided and 53% unaware of who either candidate is.

METHODOLOGY:
The persons sampled were likely Democrat voters of State House District 1 per the primary and general election cycles. They were called using an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system during the hours of 2-8 p.m. August 3-5. The phone numbers called were provided by Escambia Supervisor of Elections Office. The Margin of Error for this study is +/- 4.5% with a confidence level of 95%.
