GB Chamber CEO Peltier resigns

Press Release: The Board of Directors of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce has accepted the resignation of Meg Peltier as President/CEO. Meg will be leaving the chamber to pursue an exciting new career opportunity as the Director of Business Development at Premier Island Management/ Portofino Island on Pensacola Beach. Her last day at the Chamber will be Friday, May 20.

“We wish Meg well in her new endeavors and appreciate all that she has contributed to the chamber over the past five years. She is leaving under the best of circumstances and we know she is looking forward to being an active volunteer with the Chamber,” said Karen Jurkowich, 2011 Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Josie Cotti as the new President/CEO. Josie will officially begin her new role on Monday, May 23. Josie is well-known to chamber members and the community as the Vice-President of Membership Services. She has over eight years of experience at the chamber and an extensive resume of local community involvement.

“I am so thrilled that the Board unanimously voted to pass on the leadership of the chamber to the capable hands of Josie Cotti,” said Meg Peltier, “Josie is a true professional who is smart, strong and a very hard worker with a compassionate heart. She is a great person who is ready to step-up to lead this chamber.”

Karen Jurkowich states: “Josie brings strong institutional knowledge of the organization along with her own set of goals. We feel very fortunate to have someone of Josie Cotti’s ability ready and willing to take over the reigns of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber. We are completely delighted with the new opportunities this presents for our organization and the Gulf Breeze Community!”
