The daily newspaper incorrectly posted today that Sarah Brown, a GBHS student who was killed in an auto accident on Bayou Blvd. yesterday, wasn’t wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. The paper based it on a report from the Pensacola Police Dept.
In a post to the paper’s website, Capt. Robert Sumner wrote, “I was the on scene incident commander at that scene and I want to say that there is absolutely no question that Sarah WAS wearing a seatbelt and was removed by firefighters at the scene during extrication.”
