This is a great opportunity to unload unwanted gold and boast the local economy.
“The American Coin Buyers Guild is looking to spend at least $250,000 in Pensacola, so our event will be an excellent way to get some money into the community,†said media contact for ACBG, Korey Scott. “Many people have collectible items around the house that they know might have some value, but just don’t know where to take them. Our events provide a fun, friendly environment to have these items evaluated, and if it is something of value, our experts will issue a check on the spot.â€
Gold and silver are best sellers right now, so if you have a pair of mismatched earrings or a necklace that’s been collecting dust bring it over to the experts. You can even treat the event as an “Antiques Roadshow†and bring items to find out their value. The event is free and open to the public.
ACBG also purchases antiques, vintage toys, musical instruments and items from the Civil War, WWI and WWII. If you have any old coins scattered throughout the house, now is the time to see if you have a small fortune waiting to be claimed.
“We see a lot of really old, rare coins that are quite valuable,†Scott said. “We once had a gentleman come in to one of our events with a coffee can full of coins, just hoping he might get enough money to pay a few bills. He ended up having an 1893 S Morgan Silver Dollar in that can, and left our event with a check for over $7000.â€
