Gov. Scott appoints Baker and Cleveland to UWF Board

The News Service of Florida reports these appointments by Gov. Rick Scott:

RICHARD BAKER AND DAVID CLEVELAND have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the University of West Florida Board of Trustees. Baker, of Gulf Breeze, is director of human resources for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Cleveland, of Gulf Breeze, is a partner and senior vice president of Highpointe Hotel Corporation.

THOMAS DORTCH JR. AND CRAIG REED have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the Florida A&M University Board of Trustees. Dortch, of Atlanta, is chairman of Lancor Parking Solutions and chairman and chief executive officer of TWD, Inc. Reed, of Newton Square, Pa., is executive director of sourcing and logistics for DuPont USA.

SHAUN DAVIS AND ROBERT STILLEY have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees. Davis, of Weston, is managing partner of S. Davis & Associates, PA. Stilley, of Tequesta, is president and chief executive officer of HeartCare Imaging, Inc.

GERALD GRANT JR. has been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the Florida International University Board of Trustees. Grant, of Palmetto Bay, is director of financial planning for AXA Advisors, LLC.

SANDRA FEATHERMAN AND FRANK MARTIN have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the Florida Polytechnic University Board of Trustees. Featherman, of Highland Beach, is former president of the University of New England. Martin, of Clermont, is president of Frank T. Martin Consult, LLC.

EDWARD BURR AND CRAIG MATEER have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the Florida State University Board of Trustees. Burr, of Jacksonville Beach, is president and chief executive officer of GreenPointe Holdings, LLC. Mateer, of Orlando, is founder and chief executive officer of Bags, Inc.

AUDREY COLEMAN AND JOHN LILLY have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees. Coleman, of Lakewood Ranch, is a former school administrator. Lilly, of Minneapolis, is president of John Lilly Strategic Insights.

MARCOS MARCHENA AND ALEXANDER MARTINS have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees. Marchena, of Orlando, is a senior partner with Marchena and Graham. Martins, of Winter Park, is chief executive officer of the Orlando Magic.

MARSHA POWERS has been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the University of Florida Board of Trustees. Powers, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is chief executive officer of Tenet Healthcare, Florida Region.

PAUL MCELROY AND SHARON WAMBLE-KING have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees. McElroy, of Jacksonville, is chief executive officer of JEA. Wamble-King, of Jacksonville, is president of K-WAM Consulting, LLC.

STEPHANIE GOFORTH AND NANCY WATKINS have been appointed by the university system’s Board of Governors to the University of South Florida Board of Trustees. Goforth, of Gulfport, is president of Northern Trust, West Florida Region. Watkins, of Tampa, is a certified public accountant and founding partner at Robert Watkins & Company, PA.

PETER LOGAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees. Logan, 40, of Bradenton, is president of Medallion Homes.

THOMAS ZAVELSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind Board of Trustees. Zavelson, of Gainesville, is a retired pediatrician and a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
