Gulf Breeze City Offices Closed
Tuesday, Jan. 21 thru Thursday, Jan. 23
Friday PENDING
City of Gulf Breeze offices and facilities remain closed through Thursday. A decision on Friday closures will be made as conditions evolve early Thursday. The city continues to operate a limited Emergency Operations Center, including Gulf Breeze Emergency Services.
Roads and bridges are impassable due to ice and snow. Commuters and residents are advised to stay home and off the roadways and bridges.
Winterizing Bridges and Roadways
• FDOT and Counties have closed bridges except for emergency workers with ID.
• The City of Gulf Breeze is winterizing major intersections only, including the Gulf Breeze Hospital, Fairpoint and Shoreline. Local roadways are untreated.
Garbage Pick Up
• Service was canceled for Thursday AND Friday due to the closure of the county landfill.
Utility Matters and Emergency Calls
• Accessory meters for boat docks and irrigation should be drained and shut off.
• Water faucets should allow a slow trickle to discourage frozen pipes.
• There will be no utility cut-offs this week.
• The Gulf Breeze EOC will answer calls for emergency utility matters at 850-934-5115. Operations will resume on Thursday for non-emergency utility matters.
