Gulf Breeze Christmas Parade set for Dec. 7

The city of Gulf Breeze and the Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce invite the public to the annual Gulf Breeze Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Shoreline Drive behind Gulf Breeze High School. That parade route runs down Shoreline Drive, turns onto McLane Road, and ends at Fairpoint Drive beside First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. Attendees can line the grassy areas along Shoreline Drive and McLane unless the area has been otherwise marked.

The theme will be “A Florida Christmas.” Monsignor Luke Hunt from St Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze is the Grand Marshall.

Msgr. Hunt, Santa Rosa County Teacher of the Year, Ann Thompson, and Rookie Teacher of the Year, Emily Simon, will serve as judges for the following parade awards: “Best in Show”, “Grand Marshall’s Choice”, “Best Holiday Spirit”, and “Top-Hat Award” in honor of former Mayor Lane Gilchrist.

If you would like to register to participate in the parade, please stop by Gulf Breeze City Hall, 1070 Shoreline Drive (Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 4:00 PM.) The Registration Form can be printed online at www.cityofgulfbreeze.com or www.gulfbreezechamber.com.
