Gulf Power rate request rejected

The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) today denied Gulf Power Company’s reconsideration request to include the acquisition and evaluation costs for its North Escambia County Site in base rate charges. The PSC had denied Gulf’s original request in February.

“Gulf’s reconsideration motion did not identify any point of fact or law the Commission failed to consider in our Final Order,” said PSC Chairman Ronald A. Brisé. “Today, the Commission determined that at this time our original decision remains in the best interest of Gulf’s customers.”
