Gulf South Conference Soccer Tournament returns to Pensacola this weekend

The Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) and University of West Florida are pleased to again host the 2014 Gulf South Conference (GSC) Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships. This year will mark the seventh year the tournament has been held in Pensacola.

The matches will be held at Ashton Brosnaham Park on Friday, November 7 and Sunday, November 9. Four semi-final games will be played on Friday, November 7 and the conference championships on Sunday November 9. Tickets will be available at the gate ($5 a day or $8 for a weekend pass).

University of West Alabama
Delta State University

GSC semifinal tournament seeds will be announced at a later date. In the event the UWF men’s and women’s team make the tournament, they’ll be the defending conference champions two years running.

“We are very pleased to have the Gulf South Conference Soccer Championships back in Escambia County for the seventh consecutive year,” said PSA Executive Director Ray Palmer. This year’s tournament is shaping up to possibly be the most competitive tournament we have hosted as there are many teams battling at the top on both the Men’s and Women’s conference standings. We are looking forward to another weekend of great college soccer and invite all our area soccer fans to come and watch.”
