Gulf Winds Foundation Raises Over $100,000 at Annual Charity Golf Tournament
The Pensacola-based credit union’s third annual Chip in Fore tournament drew sponsors, nonprofits, and the Ice Flyers to Pensacola Country Club.
The Gulf Winds Foundation raised more than $100,000 at its third annual Chip in Fore Charity golf tournament, held Monday, April 13, at Pensacola Country Club.
Teams competed in a four-player scramble format with a hole-in-one contest—win a brand-new Honda vehicle—plus on-course games that included a appearance by the Pensacola Ice Flyers.
During the award ceremony, Paula Shell, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, spoke about the power of community partnerships and Gulf Winds’ ongoing commitment to investing in local youth.
Where the money goes: Proceeds strengthen the Gulf Winds Annual Scholarship Program and support a roster of regional nonprofits:
- Manna Food Pantry
- Council on Aging of West Florida
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida
- Rally Foundation
Presenting sponsor Fiserv led a deep field of corporate backers that included Visa, BKJ Architecture, MeridianLink, Glia, Solenture, Greenhut Construction, Pensacola Honda, the Ice Flyers Foundation, and more than a dozen additional sponsors.
