Halloween Hosted by YMCA

Press Release:

The Y will host its annual Halloween at the YMCA, which provides hundreds of special needs kids with a unique trick or treating experience, on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Crowne Plaza/Grand Hotel.

About 275 children with developmental disabilities will visit the Grand between 10 a.m. and noon to trick-or-treat through the hotel’s ground level. Sponsors will decorate, dress in costume, and hand out treats to the children. The children will enjoy face painting, costumed characters, a DJ and dancing, pizza and fun.

The children, all of whom have significant physical, mental, emotional and/or behavioral challenges, have been identified through the school system. More than 50 volunteers from the community will be on hand to assist.

This event is made possible by the Crowne Plaza, Domino’s Pizza, Buffalo Rock Pepsi, and numerous businesses and organizations who decorate and dress up in costume to hand out treats to these children.
