A Southern literary giant, Nelle Harper Lee, has died at the age of 89. She won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1961 for her book, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” and helped her childhood friend Truman Capote to do the research for his award-winning book, “In Cold Blood.”
Last summer when her “Go Set a Watchman†was released, Inweekly sent Scott Satterwhite to her hometown, Monroeville, Ala. His story, “Daycation to Monroeville, the Literary Capital of Alabama” was one of the top cover stories of 2015.
He gave readers a tour of the town and highlighted some of the landmarks. Check it out.
