Hayward Leads In Finances

According to the Ashton Hayward for Mayor camp, the candidate leads in finances as of July 16.

Press Release:

Pensacola Mayor candidate Ashton Hayward filed his campaign finance report today, leading all contenders for the seat and demonstrating that his message to end the status quo and to move the city forward is catching on with a wide range of voters.
The Pensacola businessman, who raised $26,470 during the latest reporting period that ended July 16, has attracted wide-ranging supporter from housewives and teachers to business owners and physicians, many of whom have never given to campaigns before.
“Politicians have had their chance, and blown it,” Hayward says. “Everyone I talk to is as frustrated as I am with the lack of progress in our city. They know, as an independent businessman, I am not beholden to special interests. I have the experience to make decisions and get results that will improve Pensacola and our quality of life.”
Hayward has raised $35,620 total since announcing his candidacy near the end of March, vowing to fight for Pensacola by restoring accountability to City Hall, tackling problems the current city leaders have ignored and working to make our neighborhoods places where families, seniors and businesses want to live. He has consistently garnered more support than his three opponents and has about as much cash-on-hand, $26,594, as his opponents combined.
