The daily marketing solution (see) asks this question in its Sunday editorial- If not consolidation, then what?
The Escambia County Commission and the constitutional officers met on Thursday, Feb 25 and decided the first whats of functional consolidation for their entities. Commissioner Wilson Robertson said on my TV show, “IN Your Head TV,” that all agreed to focus initially on three areas:
1. Garages – the city, sheriff, school district and ECAT have garages within a two-mile radius
2. Human Resources
3. Payroll
I guess the daily was so busy pushing the lawmakers to redo their Monday decision to not send the consolidation plan to Tallahassee that they didn’t check to see what happened at the Thursday workshop. If they had, they might have found the answer to their question.
