Here we go again: BP asks judge to reconsider ruling

Yesterday BP was back in federal court asking that it reconsider the September ruling of Judge Carl Barbier that found the company “grossly negligent” for the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. At stake are about $18 million in fines.

The motion filed in Louisiana contends the ruling was based on evidence, expert testimony about how the Macondo well’s casing was weakened and breached, that Barbier had agreed to exclude from the ongoing trial.
