High school to retire Carla Williams’ jersey

The Dothan Eagle reports that Graceville High School tonight will retire the jersey number 35 worn by the late Carla Williams, who was tragically murdered in May at a Pensacola gym.

Williams helped lead the Graceville High Tigers to a state championship in 1992 and went on to become a star player at Pensacola State College and Florida State University. She went on to teach, coach and mentor many students at her Pensacola State alma mater and with the Southern Youth Sports Association.
