Hiring Our Heroes Job Fair, May 21

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will host a job fair Thursday, May 21 for service members, veterans and military spouses at the Lou Ross Gymnasium at Pensacola State College, 1000 College Boulevard. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Job seekers are encouraged to register here and upload their resumes to be viewed by employers ahead of the event. Prior to the start of the job fair, The University of Phoenix will host an employment workshop. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a classroom session, followed by one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered and walk-in participants to be conducted throughout the day. Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veterans and service member participants. Interested parties must register here.

This University of Phoenix sponsored event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the Florida Committee for Employer Support for Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Career Source ESCAROSA, Eglin AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center, NBC News, and other local partners.
