Holiday Hero Blood Drive

With the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner you can be a Holiday Hero and help save lives by making a blood donation. Patients are counting on you to give the gift of life this season. Donate Friday, November 16 at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and you could help save three lives and take home a special t-shirt.

Each donor receives a wellness check and a cholesterol screening. Your blood donation also makes you eligible to be in the drawing to win the 2012 Kia Soul, courtesy of Kia Autosport. Help make the Thanksgiving Season a life saver for those in need with your gift of life.

Blood donations go to our local hospitals and could literally save the lives of patients who need transfusions for emergencies, traumas, surgeries and cancer treatment. Support the needs of your community by donating blood. Generally, healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood.
