Holley is part of double dipping wave

Escambia County tax collector, Janet Holley, retired this month. She will take office again in January. The St. Pete Times reports that Holley is part of a “new crop of double dippers, taking advantage of a loophole in state law that allows them to ‘retire’ by taking 30 days off and return to work in their old jobs with a salary and a pension.”

Earlier this year I interviewed Lucy Morgan about this double dipping issue that has about 8,000 people in the the state retirement system collecting both paychecks and pensions. ( Listen )
