Hopjacks Nine Mile to undergo conversion

Joe Abston, owner of Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom, The Tin Cow, Pot Roast & Pinot and Taco Mez announced today his expansion of The Tin Cow to Nine Mile Road. The location will open where Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen 9 Mile Road is currently located, at 204 E. Nine Mile Rd., and will remain under the same ownership. This will be the third Tin Cow in the local area, with locations currently open Downtown and in the pre-opening process in Pace.

When asked what inspired the change, owner Joe Abston said in a press release, “We wanted to adapt to our changing clientele and do what was best for the community and for our employees. With the proximity to the University of West Florida and the expansion of Navy Federal Credit Union we have the ability to grow our employee base. Our goal is to make this a favorite spot for regulars as well as the premier burger dining destination for guests living in the area as well as those that work and attend school on this side of town.”

Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom Nine Mile’s last day of operation will be Tuesday, Sept. 13 with a going away celebration in true fashion, with local favorite $3 Holla – Three Dollar You Call Its! from 7PM-3AM. Current employees of the Hopjacks location will remain employed at the new restaurant and this addition will bring another 25 jobs to the community, including a kitchen management position. Those interested in applying should send resumes to jobs@thetincow.com or stop by the restaurant to fill out an application in person.

The building will be closed for cosmetic renovations and plans to reopen as The Tin Cow in late September or early October. Hours of operation will be Monday-Thursday 11am-midnight, Friday and Saturday 11am-2am, and Sunday 11am-10pm. The restaurant will increase seating from 115 to 150 guests and will be updating aesthetics. While the new location will have a unique look and feel, it will stay true to The Tin Cow branding.
