How to help Ukrainian refugees [podcast]

Inweekly, WCOA ‘Real News with Rick Outzen” and 3Sixty Marketing have put together a list of charities to help refugees from Ukraine and their pets.  Donors can pick up lapel pins with the flags of United States and Ukraine to show they made contributions.

The Ukrainian Red Cross

The Red Cross is often on the frontlines of war serving to help those affected by armed conflict. The Ukrainian Red Cross is currently assisting people inside the country by aiding evacuations and providing shelter, food and basic necessities. Donate to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen (WCK), established in 2010, is an organization that deploys chefs directly to disaster areas to provide hot meals to those in need. WCK is currently working in Ukraine and along its borders in neighboring countries. Donate to World Central Kitchen.

GlobalGiving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund

GlobalGiving is raising funds to support locally-led organizations throughout Ukraine. Any donations to the fund will provide essentials for refugees, health, psychological and support and access to education and economic assistance. Donate directly to GlobalGiving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.

Black Dog Rescue, Sweden, is rehoming pets forced to be abandoned

In Lviv, a city in western Ukraine, the owners of the Cat Café refuse to leave their business so their felines are not left behind. According to a message posted on their Facebook page, they’re also donating 20 percent of all checks to the Ukrainian army.  https://www.facebook.com/catcafelviv
