How to Speak at UWF Board of Trustees Meeting

To speak at the University of West Florida Board of Trustees’ meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13, you have to register by 8:45 a.m. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the Museum of Commerce, 201 Zaragoza Street. See agenda.

Public Comment Procedures

  1. Members of the public must register 15 minutes prior to the “call to order” of an in-person meeting. According to the agenda, the “call to order” is 9 a.m.
  2. Individuals must address their comments to the BOT only.
  3. All speakers must have provided their name, address, and relationship to the university for the record.
  4. All speakers should be tasteful, truthful, and concise.
  5. Individuals can waive comment in support, opposition, or neutrality when their name is called by the chair.
  6. Individual speakers will be limited to three minutes and that the board is not required to respond to comments.
