The latest information on Hurricane Ida is expected to undergo rapid to strengthening on today, tonight and Sunday. While the National Hurricane Service has it making landfall at 125 mph, some experts are predicting 140-150 mph and Ida my reach Category 5 intensity.
Landfall is expected late Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening in southeast Louisiana in the area of Morgan City, Houma and Grand Isle. New Orleans will get hurricane force winds, as may Baton Rouge.
