CRA Emergency Resilience Program Could Help Isaias Recovery

If you live in a Community Redevelopment Agency district and have storm damage from Hurricane Isaias, the CRA’s Emergency Resiliency Program may be able to help your recovery.

The City CRA was created to eliminate slum and blight by promoting reinvestment and revitalization in the community. The CRA offers limited emergency assistance to stabilize your home, protect occupants, and prevent further damage.

Funding is available only for essential repairs and only for properties within the three CRA districts – Urban Core, Eastside, and Westside redevelopment areas. Use this map to see if your property is in a CRA district.

Learn more or apply online: https://www.cityofpensacola.com/3695/Emergency-Resiliency-Program.

Paper applications are available at City Hall (222 W. Main St.) and Bayview Senior Center (2000 E. Lloyd St.).

PARKS & ONGOING RECOVERY EFFORTS

While storm debris has been cleared from facilities scheduled to reopen, crews are continuing to inspect City parks and playgrounds. Widespread damage, including dozens of downed trees and impacts to playgrounds and park amenities, presents significant cleanup and safety challenges.

Please stay out of all parks and off playgrounds until they have been inspected and officially cleared for public use. Parks and playgrounds will reopen in phases as crews assess conditions and confirm they are safe. Once cleared, locations will be listed at playpensacola.com, with updates shared through the City’s official social media channels.

As parks reopen, please refrain from using any power sources on-site.

Parks and Recreation staff will continue assessing facilities, addressing hazards and completing repairs as resources allow. Residents are encouraged to check for updates before visiting parks and recreation facilities, as conditions and operating schedules may change throughout the recovery process.
