Hyundai Hope on Wheels has awarded a $100,000 Impact Grant to Studer Family Children’s Hospital. The award will directly support the Bear Family Foundation Pediatric Oncology Center for Hope, enhancing the hospital’s ability to provide cutting-edge treatments and improved outcomes for children battling cancer.

Recognizing Champion of Pediatric Care

Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz, a pediatric hematologist and oncologist at the hospital, will be honored during a special Hyundai Hope on Wheels handprint ceremony. As part of this recognition, Dr. Schwartz will be presented with a lab coat, symbolizing his role as a champion of pediatric care.

Supporting Life-Saving Research and Innovation

The Hyundai Hope on Wheels program offers highly competitive grants specifically designed to expand the knowledge base surrounding childhood cancers and elevate the standards of care across the medical community.

The $100,000 award offers flexible funding options that can be directed toward innovative research in the childhood cancer field or programmatic support for the hospital’s pediatric oncology department. Additionally, the grant may support direct patient assistance programs, including enrichment initiatives, family on-site support services, educational programs, and other efforts focused on improving care and finding cures for children fighting cancer.

“We are deeply grateful for the continued support of Hyundai Hope on Wheels and for the role local Hyundai dealers play in making this partnership possible,” said Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation president Adrienne Maygarden. “Grants like this allow us to care for our youngest cancer patients in the most meaningful ways—improving outcomes and providing hope. The impact of this support is truly transformational for children and families in our community.”
