Press release: The Pensacola Ice Flyers are pleased to announce their new Ice Flyers Fan Club. The Fan Club will serve as the support system for the Ice Flyers organization.

“We have an amazing fan base here in Pensacola and this Fan Club will provide an opportunity for our fans to help our players and staff throughout the season,” Ice Flyers owner Greg Harris stated. “Our goal with the Fan Club is to bring out the volunteer spirit in our devoted fans, and by representing and assisting the team, help the organization continue to be one of the most desired places for players to play in the SPHL.”

Different annual membership plans are available for fans wanting to join the Fan Club. These include Individual Membership packages for $20, Couples Memberships for $30, and Family Memberships for $40. The Family Memberships include two adults and two children under the age of 18 with a $10 charge for additional children.

Upon submitting their membership form, fans will submit a list of five committees they wish to be a part of and the Ice Flyers staff will place members accordingly. The available committees are Birthdays, Game Day (help coordinate extra help on game day in case its needed), Fundraising, Ice Flyers Special Events (ie. Golf Tourney, Bowling Tourney, Tailgate Party, etc.), Mardi Gras, Stuff the Bus (supplies for road trips), Team Outings with Fan Club, Training Camp Committee, Transportation, and Welcome Packages.

These committees will serve as logistical coordinators and take direction from and report to the Ice Flyers organization while gathering volunteers and other pertinent information to help make each activity a success. To help maximize participation in the Fan Club, any one member will be chosen to participate in only one committee, and a minimum of 12 hours of volunteer service is required throughout the six-month season by all members. In the same effort, committee members will not be chosen to serve on the same committee for more than one season.

Those fans interested in joining can fill out the three attached documents and return them to the Ice Flyers office. The membership form only needs to be filled out by one member of the group, but every member must fill out the Code of Conduct and Indemnity Agreement. The form does not have a payment section, so fans are asked to provide payment upon submitting the forms.
